I took on a temporary vacancy as a full-time reporter for the Gosnells and Canning editions of The Examiner while I was a student.

This was framed as an internship, but in reality, it was me filling the role of a full-time professional journalist temporarily during a worker shortage.

I quickly adapted to the newsroom environment and managed to publish 15 stories and three front pages in my two week stint.
